In this episode, Farm Bureau's Voices of Agriculture host Reggie Hall visits with some family farmers who are taking their produce to the streets. We're talking about the collaborative effort of the SC Department of Agriculture and the SC Farm Bureau Federation to begin a public-private effort to market and brand South Carolina products so that consumers can easily identify, and buy, local products.
For our Carolina Cooking episode, we visit the outdoor kitchen of our now retired national legislative coordinator, Jim Griffin, as he shows us how to prepare the state's official snack...boiled peanuts!
We also meet our Farmer Outstanding in the Field Angela O'Neal Chappell of Coosaw Farms in Fairfax, SC. There we visit her watermelon farm and discover the history and industry of the land.
