SC-DHEC to Hold Forums on “Unneeded Regulations”

The SC Department of Health and Environmental Control has announced a series of forums on March 11th, 12th and 13th in Greenville, Columbia and North Charleston to receive comments on “unneeded regulations.”

The forums are to provide the public an opportunity to provide input on what the public considers regulations that do not provide protection to the environment or that hold back economic growth or hamper business.

South Carolina Farm Bureau plans to make presentations at these forums. We  are asking for members' input prior to Friday, March 8th, on any rules or regulations they believe hinder their farming operations or are unneeded to protect the environment.

As much detail as members can provide will be much appreciated.

Please send your responses to klavender@scfb.org.

The period for written comments extends until March 27th.  We plan to provide written comments during the extended time.
